What If

What If

Two letters that mean so much, I pose a question to you what would happen if all the money that this government has borrowed has to be paid back within a year, answers on a post card please.

There is so much spin from this government and all departments, which gives me doubts about what the out come of this inquiry, there is so much coming out of the woodwork, will this bring the perpetrators, who took this country in to two wars, to justice

Which has had a major impact on this country, in cost to the lives of our young men and women and that impact on their families?

We are coming up to the festive time and the sales pitch is high, How are families going to manage, we have many people who are on the bread line and finding it very hard to make ends meet.

To think of the huge bonus that has been paid out to lots of workers who have had to have government money to stay afloat, and remember that the MOD people have received the same, just makes one think.

I received a Christmas card from the RBL asking me to write inside a message to a person who was in their care, just what should I write, this person who has given his all in defence of this country, thank you for what you have given, that is lame.  When one just has to look around to see that there is no respect, with the drunks on our streets and drug taking at an all time high, he must be think why did I risk my life.

My wish for the coming year is that I can open my news paper to see a head line, that put a smile on my face and joy in my heart.

Rembrance

To think it was a week ago that people of this country bowed their heads in reverence to the dead, who gave their lives for us to live.

What did you notice, small children showed respect in lowering their heads, but to think that could not be shown by the Prime Minister, just confirmed how he views the service men and women of this country.

I have just received some harrowing pictures that you will see plus a poem which shows what some of these young people feel...

What did you think of the people who work at the MOD getting a bonus, what the hell for, they have not purchased equipment for the front line, or was it they spent money ( that is your money) buying the wrong equipment.

It is said in today paper that the helicopters that are needed now are being ordered now bur will be in commission in 2017, dear god do we put on hold the war, please tell the enemy to hold fire.

Please can some one tell me, when a person commits a crime we give them money to leave this country, why, they have killed a child yes I know they have served the time, why were they in this country.

We have seen the figures which do not add up as to how many illegal people are in this country. It is drummed into us the war in Afghanistan is to prevent further attacks in this country, does this not make you think?

Just think Christmas is here in 6weeks, who will have the money to spend, I know the bank of England has printed more money, is that coming to us or to the bankers for a Christmas bonus, just a thought.

THE FINAL INSPECTION

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you ?
Have you always turned the other cheek ?
To My Church have you been true?'

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'

Christmas Thoughts

This is a daily work in saving lives for the medics on the front line, they do not stop and say my time is up, oh no just carry on till we get this casualty to base hospital.
Please note the number of casualties that can come in any one week, our job is to support the men and women on return to this country, that is where you come in please get out your wallet or purse and give to that poppy seller.
When you are sitting down to your chrismas dinner, just give a thought to the doctors and nursing staff who will be working all day and night, to save lives.

The Christmas wish

Who will be wishing to be the fairy on the Christmas tree?

Or should I say who will be throwing the rattle out of their cot, just look at what is being said, that this person is the right candidate when you and I know how this country is in tatters with their combination of so called leadership and control of our finances.

I just do not know how they sleep at night, or, is the sleeping potion the thought of all those millions pouring in.

In the elections next year how will we know which one to vote for, who is telling the truth and will we get what has been promised, that being a referendum on that treaty, if I was a betting person and I am not it will not happen, there will be some excuse as to why they can not do it.

Why can't they that are the politicians just tell the truth no that would hurt too much?

Is the unemployment rising, sad to say yes, where is that money that was to secure jobs for young people, answers on a post card.

The Americans may be out of recession but their unemployment is still rising.

Did you know that Britain is in group C, long side Ireland, Iceland and the Mediterranean countries?  We have sunk to bottom from a world leader to third rate.  Do we have any body that can bring this once great country back to the top?

There are lots of people who wish to bring back our troops, why well in the letters they want our boarders closed and the troops to guard this country, but they may be too late, the damage has been done. Remember that when you vote.

My next point is this is the month of November the time of remembrance to those who have been injured and maimed for life and those who gave their lives for this country, so please do not pass that Poppy seller.  Please give as much as you can, remember that money is going to help those disabled service personal and their families.

Just watch the Cenotaph service and all those politicians, espically from the MOD, and cast you mind to the Nimrod inquest, and all the blown up service personal.

When did this Prime Minister stand and salute the dead coming back.

No he and his cabinet are looking at way to cut the defence budget.

The thing that makes me sick is that history is something stuck on a shelf and not looked at, the other day I was reading about the time when we had trained Officers who worked with the local tribes and sorted out problems, that would be more cost effective then going to war, no that history and that is being rewritten, I would say at what cost to this country.
