Holidays

Jolly hockey sticks, off on holiday for two months

I wish, oh those poor MP's, they need that long break, to recharge the batteries, I don't think, why do they get such long holidays.

If you have the stamina to watch the reports on the debates from Parliament, you just wonder why we have so many MPs, when the chamber has so few people there.

Still I suppose they need to spend all the hard earned money, what do we do, well I for one will be at the lovely place called stopathome, in the garden planting out veg, and thinking how much I can afford to spend on plants, no food seems to be coming down in price, but there again what has come down in price.

This has been an awful week for the service personal and the families, and the poem written by WO1 still haunts me.

Will we ever know the truth of why we are in Afghanistan, if it is about the Taliban in Pakistan, then we should be there helping them, not the other way round, if some knowledgeable person knows please could you tell me.

When will we be told how many casualties have come back since hostilities have started, and how many may never be able to work again?

Reading what this putrid government now has thought up checking up to make sure these service personal are not faking their injuries, to what level will they go to.

Tell me how do they judge a service man or women has Combat Stress Disorder, put them through what test, loud bangs firing mortars or just shouting at them, I would very much like to know.

With this long holiday, when will the equipment that has been promised be delivered to the troops on the ground?

How many casualties have the other forces in Afghanistan, you never see that printed, why?

On to another subject, that of the Girl Guides and Scouting movement having to pay water tax.

Are we sinking so low that soon my cat will be invoiced for drinking the rain water? Well I would not put that pass them.
