Where has summer gone

Please paint the sky blue

No I am not being political just wondered where summer went, did I sleep in?
Here in Newton Abbot a classic car show last weekend which raised money for Help for Hero's a tidy sum of £3421, especially here with high unemployment.

Well done the people who worked hard to put this show on.

We also have in Teignmouth a group playing called Muse, all local boys who have made good, hope they continue to play for a long time.

So watch this space for next year, and I will you all know early so that you can take you holidays here in Devon.

I have been reading about the extra money we will have to pay the EU, that is to pay for the poor countries that wish to join, how about if we leave and they can take our place, as how can we be seen as being a rich country, when we are up to our eyes in debt.

Gosh our Prime minister has gone to see our troops, how on earth did he find his way, or even know who he was to meet.

Good on the young man who asked why they had to pay tax when the Americans service people did not, and what an answer he was given, and now we, that is in the name of Great Britain, are going to speak to the Taleban, I could ask what is they have that we need, i.e. oil or other goods, well just look what has happen in North Africa, need I say more.

Food for patients in hospital

Yes I have been on the receiving end of hospital food so I do know what it is like, one thing when I was serving, food given to my patients was first class, none of this rubbish, and as for saying that NURSES are to busy to feed patients who are unable to do so, is a total disgrace to the profession of NURSING.

Why do these people who think that being a nurse precludes them from bedside care, and that includes washing feeding and even speaking to a patient.

The trouble is they are not exposed to bed side nursing, I had a nurse come to me to take my observation, and guess what she had no idea of what I had, even less of what not to do, by the time I had finished with her I asked had she just started training oh no she had finished.  That is what is being turned out at great expense to you the tax payer.

I have even seen some one who had a degree in nursing freeze on me when asked to show a student nurse ( yes we did train nurses in the Army) how to lay out a patient who had died, so I had two students to teach that morning.

I can remember when the standard of nursing was first class world wide.

Oh I can hear it you can't say that about all nurses, but you see mud sticks and one apple is bad so all are tarnished.
