That one raised finger

What do you think?

Did you note the finger that rose in the air, it struck me like a naughty word, like up yours, and mind you I could be wrong especially when the grieving families  where sitting behind him.

When you listen to some one like that saying I would do it again, would he put his sons in the front line some how I think that is unlikely don't you.

When we go into conflict training takes place, remember that he did not allow the Generals to under take this, plus the equipment was just not there.

The thing that has cheered me up is reading about Professor Bowring is he is planning a prosecution against Mr Blair based on last weeks bombshell evidence to the Chilcot Inquiry.

Professor Bowring says the revelation that the government rejected Foreign Office warnings not to invade Iraq.

Having said that what is the betting that he squirms out of that too, when you think of all the population of Iraq that have been killed, and we wonder why they hate us.

I have just spent the last 45 minutes listening to the Soldiers DVD, how nice to listen and not be screamed  at I could even hear the words clearly, so please if you have not heard this please go out and buy it, as the proceeds go to help for heroes.

I note that MI5 is saying that terrorists are now going to have bombs as implants, must say it will soon be difficult  especially for  women who have breast implants, golly just think of all that money being blown up.

During the week it was said that we do not have enough troops, and due to this the death toll will jump, may I suggest if this war in Afghanistan is going to last for years that we have conscription, now that takes the breath away,  if our politicians are intent on this war that will have to happen.

Benefits

Poverty what is the meaning of this word within this Country.

I just wonder how a lot of people in this country would manage when we have seen just what it is like in Haiti.

Yes I am thinking about the headline case with these two young thugs, sorry cannot think of another word that I could write.

Looking at the pictures in the newspapers, just look at that garden - who owns that house - the parents or is it council or Housing Association, the questions I would like answered are the following.

  1. What has the local elected Councillor been doing?
  2. Why have the Environmental /Health officer not put out an order?
  3. Why has the Housing Estate officer not acted?

Answers

Why give people benefits and especially child benefits, when is goes on drugs and alcohol and porn dvds, please do not tell me that is their Human rights to spend this money which is after all our hard earned money being used in this way.

With this country in dire straits money wise should we not be looking at ways and means making sure that the people who are claiming have a genuine reason?

We hear of so many people claiming and then being told of the extent of Fraud that is taking place with in this country.

There are many people who live on the bread line who lead a life with out the above taking place.

This country is in such a mess one must ask who is competent to right the wrongs that are taking place.
How are we going to have work not just menial, but jobs which people can take a pride in, plus have a take home pay that does not require benefits.

I can remember the days when people had pride and to take a handout was just unthinkable. I do hope that the parents of these thugs are named and shamed, and not covered up under the Human Rights act.

On another tact when are we going to deport all people in our prisons who have no right to be here, why I ask again should we the taxpayer of this country pay for their comforts, but making sure that no way can they come back.

The state of this Nation

Who is in charge of this country?

You may well ask, just look at all the gossip coming forth form all the people who have made a lot of money from spin, who is to be trusted so far as politics are concerned.

Now we see a book coming out from the man who ran the Labour party, it looks like rats fleeing the ship.

Why do we have to wait until May for an election, for gods sake get this country on an even keel, get people in to parliament who can sort out this awful mess that we are in.

These cleaver men or women who are in charge of making sure that this country can function in bad weather, why six day's does it not happen on a Sunday.  When you look around and see the streets and avenues is it no wonders that people can not get to work.

I have said about the person writing a book about his time who ran the Labour party and then tell me that a young man who is a TA Royal Marine who in his own time has written about his time  when he threw himself on to a Taliban grenade, to save his comrades.

He did not just write this book but asked his CO for permission to do so, and then sent the book to MOD's D-notice to make sure he was not revealing any secrets.

Remember this man has the George Cross, not given out lightly, and the MOD said he had to pay them around £90k, remember he wrote this book in is own time, not receiving any money from them.  Please tell me how one can make a lot of money but not him, just makes you think and reinforces my call for a general election to take place.

Why is Lord Mandelson in charge with the Queens golden jubilee and just who is in charge of this country.

Oh have just read that the man above is to get a BP job after the election, watch this space to see if this comes true.

Pavvy Lambert

My cat lost his fight with cancer

This is about my cat called Pavvy, he was a two year old who had had his back leg broken, on the first meeting at the Blue Cross centre, he just stood out as a young cat who had a lot of up and go.

That was in 1993, so for the last 15 years he has been a constant delight to have around the house.

One would never have thought that he would be able to jump and climb, but he did, would race me to the post box and back.

All though he was neutered, that did not stop him from fighting any other cat that had the audacity to come on to his patch, I caught him standing over some poor cat which was on its back with Pavvy spitting at it, having said that he was very affectionate and liked to cuddle up on ones lap especially when reading the newspapers or a good book.

When I was out at night for council meetings on arriving home he would just stand and look with the question where have you been.

This is what is miss when you do not have a cat, on my cupboard is a magnet saying a home is not a home unless it has a cat that is true in many respects.

Coming home after a trip to Australia we picked him up from the cattery and the first thing he did after having a drink was to pick up my flip-flop and shred it, after that he was his charming self.

He was there for me when I had my marriage break up, that is when you appreciate that funny but loving cat...

He went to sleep on Thursday when I called the vet, he had a nasty cancer but he kept going until it over took him.

Snow and Ice

Who is responsible for this weather?

Come on who wished for a white Christmas, you can tell us our lips will be sealed.

I should have said happy New Year to you all, having spent the whole holiday in bed with no breath and coughing like an old pipe smoker, and being a non smoker it is rather ironic plus no voice to even speak to my sister.

That is why I did not have the up and go to take on my blog.

What with the weather and the silly season taking off, all of the parties blaming each other, when we know who has been in power and in charge of our money, I think they think we are so daft not to have put up with this last two years, we are so in debt I do wonder how it is going to come right.

What are your views on the proposed march in Wootton Bassett, I for one hope the police stop it; there are a lot of law biding Muslims in this country who are upset by this group who call themselves Islam4UK.

If these men are allowed to desecrate the name of the war dead then they should leave this country and go to another Islamic and see how they would be treated.

Please tell me why he gets benefits, having said that what about all the other people who have come to this country and the first thing is to claim benefits, with this massive debt that we have to pay back, this surly must be stopped.

Only allow people in who can prove they have a job and money.

If I could go to another country to live I have to prove that I have money and that I would not become a burden to my hosted country.

Why not ask the men and women who will be knocking on your door for your vote that same question because I will and I will let you know the answer.

I hope you stay warm and free from these rotten bugs that are going round.

Holiday of Christmas.

 Holiday of Christmas.

I have just been reading a blunt Christmas message from the Archbishop of York one Dr John Sentamu.

He talks about his childhood in Uganda, and at this time of year. The first thing he look for was toy's made in ENGLAND, just think when you go shopping do you look for that trade mark.

Other story about a Christian who fell foul of our new religion and that is "equality and diversity.

When did you last see any body stand up for this country whose religion is Christianity?  I am sorry you do not put others first in this regard, yes tolerance, but not blind to this countries history.

My other story that has put up my blood pressure is this Government has to pay out for medical and nursing staff from an agency called Frontier Medical.

I would like to know who was responsible for down grading the RAMC and QARANC, plus closing all well equipped hospitals and staffed with people who had knowledge as to what these men and women were going through.

This is the point ladies and gentlemen that caused my high blood pressure are the price that you the tax payer are paying. MOD £375 a day, but, the Army personal are getting £129 LESS then these agency people.

That is not all, where do you think that to save money; well you have been told by the politicians that this money is needed to fund the fight in Afghanistan.  Housing for troops and their families will not be upgraded, please note they are SUB-Standard.  The announcement by the Defence Secretary one Bob Ainsworth, the need for cut-backs to the tune of £1.5billion, oh dear me who was the person responsible  for taking us to war, with a total disregard as to cost of life, as we are seeing now.

I would take all the money that has been claimed by the Politian's and put it part way of improving these barracks and Quarters.

This government states that all housing must be brought up to a high standard that is to all Housing Associations.

When you look at what I have just said , that means our Service personal are bottom of the heap, also how come that immigrants are put up in million dollar homes, just what have they paid in taxes or even contributed to this country, all right not all are like this.  I would say look around your Town Village see that people who have come to this country with the intent to settle and become British, even join the Armed Forces, but not ones who just want hand outs.

I wish you all a Peaceful Christmas.

War of words

  THE WAR OF WORDS

This is the special time of the year for all Christians world wide, sadly this is not so for all grieving families who have lost love ones through war.

The words that are coming from this inquiry, brings out the anger and frustration in what is the truth behind closed doors.

What is being said and what is spin, I have never known a time when the trust in a government is at an all time low.

Why did Afghanistan not have an army?  Where is all the money that has been made from drugs not been put back to improve that country.

Is it due to the drug barons building up their wealth, if so that money should be used to pay us for teaching the men who will form their army?

Having said that are we not teaching the Taliban, how is it proven that this is not taking place?  We only have to look at the carnage that took place when our troops sat down for a tea break.

Who can put their hand on their heart and say we have not let in terrorist to this country.

When you look round and see the unemployment that is happening, how we are going to pay our way, all good seem to be going up so who will be further in to debt.

In to day's papers big head lines the French are to open another Stagnate, we must not be pushed to take more people in, when the population is bursting at the seams, and employment is at an all time high.

This week sees the Danes having the world in their living rooms at the climate conference, will anybody take any notice of this fact about carbon and what is happening to the world, and since the last big meeting can any body see a difference.

Here in Kingsteignton we have an open air swimming pool, which needs a new boiler, needless to say they do not have the money, so they are out trying to raise money, to the tune of £30k that is for a GAS boiler and there I am talking about climate change and they want a gas boiler.

Even on a small scale nobody seem to think out side the box, or is it just me
