Weather Patterns

I have talked about the destruction of trees and what that does, I will follow that up with the wet weather we have been having.

The Teign river is full of deposits from the moors, but she is running fast. Put that with the high tides and it does not help in the flooding that takes place. When I have been driving round my ward, I have come across roads full of mud and clay that with rain makes for dangerous driving.

The Highways officer has said these conditions have been reported to the companies concerned, the John Acres Lane is one place in question, so please take care when driving on this stretch of road.

How much water is on the Newcross site, and where is that water pumped to? If housing is going to take place on the Newcross site, where will that water be run off to, plus what has just been said about the SUDs, will the people of Broadway Avenue and Chudleigh road have more water in their gardens?

Please pass to me any comments you have about the above, thank you.
