Holiday of Christmas.

 Holiday of Christmas.

I have just been reading a blunt Christmas message from the Archbishop of York one Dr John Sentamu.

He talks about his childhood in Uganda, and at this time of year. The first thing he look for was toy's made in ENGLAND, just think when you go shopping do you look for that trade mark.

Other story about a Christian who fell foul of our new religion and that is "equality and diversity.

When did you last see any body stand up for this country whose religion is Christianity?  I am sorry you do not put others first in this regard, yes tolerance, but not blind to this countries history.

My other story that has put up my blood pressure is this Government has to pay out for medical and nursing staff from an agency called Frontier Medical.

I would like to know who was responsible for down grading the RAMC and QARANC, plus closing all well equipped hospitals and staffed with people who had knowledge as to what these men and women were going through.

This is the point ladies and gentlemen that caused my high blood pressure are the price that you the tax payer are paying. MOD £375 a day, but, the Army personal are getting £129 LESS then these agency people.

That is not all, where do you think that to save money; well you have been told by the politicians that this money is needed to fund the fight in Afghanistan.  Housing for troops and their families will not be upgraded, please note they are SUB-Standard.  The announcement by the Defence Secretary one Bob Ainsworth, the need for cut-backs to the tune of £1.5billion, oh dear me who was the person responsible  for taking us to war, with a total disregard as to cost of life, as we are seeing now.

I would take all the money that has been claimed by the Politian's and put it part way of improving these barracks and Quarters.

This government states that all housing must be brought up to a high standard that is to all Housing Associations.

When you look at what I have just said , that means our Service personal are bottom of the heap, also how come that immigrants are put up in million dollar homes, just what have they paid in taxes or even contributed to this country, all right not all are like this.  I would say look around your Town Village see that people who have come to this country with the intent to settle and become British, even join the Armed Forces, but not ones who just want hand outs.

I wish you all a Peaceful Christmas.

War of words

  THE WAR OF WORDS

This is the special time of the year for all Christians world wide, sadly this is not so for all grieving families who have lost love ones through war.

The words that are coming from this inquiry, brings out the anger and frustration in what is the truth behind closed doors.

What is being said and what is spin, I have never known a time when the trust in a government is at an all time low.

Why did Afghanistan not have an army?  Where is all the money that has been made from drugs not been put back to improve that country.

Is it due to the drug barons building up their wealth, if so that money should be used to pay us for teaching the men who will form their army?

Having said that are we not teaching the Taliban, how is it proven that this is not taking place?  We only have to look at the carnage that took place when our troops sat down for a tea break.

Who can put their hand on their heart and say we have not let in terrorist to this country.

When you look round and see the unemployment that is happening, how we are going to pay our way, all good seem to be going up so who will be further in to debt.

In to day's papers big head lines the French are to open another Stagnate, we must not be pushed to take more people in, when the population is bursting at the seams, and employment is at an all time high.

This week sees the Danes having the world in their living rooms at the climate conference, will anybody take any notice of this fact about carbon and what is happening to the world, and since the last big meeting can any body see a difference.

Here in Kingsteignton we have an open air swimming pool, which needs a new boiler, needless to say they do not have the money, so they are out trying to raise money, to the tune of £30k that is for a GAS boiler and there I am talking about climate change and they want a gas boiler.

Even on a small scale nobody seem to think out side the box, or is it just me

What If

What If

Two letters that mean so much, I pose a question to you what would happen if all the money that this government has borrowed has to be paid back within a year, answers on a post card please.

There is so much spin from this government and all departments, which gives me doubts about what the out come of this inquiry, there is so much coming out of the woodwork, will this bring the perpetrators, who took this country in to two wars, to justice

Which has had a major impact on this country, in cost to the lives of our young men and women and that impact on their families?

We are coming up to the festive time and the sales pitch is high, How are families going to manage, we have many people who are on the bread line and finding it very hard to make ends meet.

To think of the huge bonus that has been paid out to lots of workers who have had to have government money to stay afloat, and remember that the MOD people have received the same, just makes one think.

I received a Christmas card from the RBL asking me to write inside a message to a person who was in their care, just what should I write, this person who has given his all in defence of this country, thank you for what you have given, that is lame.  When one just has to look around to see that there is no respect, with the drunks on our streets and drug taking at an all time high, he must be think why did I risk my life.

My wish for the coming year is that I can open my news paper to see a head line, that put a smile on my face and joy in my heart.

Rembrance

To think it was a week ago that people of this country bowed their heads in reverence to the dead, who gave their lives for us to live.

What did you notice, small children showed respect in lowering their heads, but to think that could not be shown by the Prime Minister, just confirmed how he views the service men and women of this country.

I have just received some harrowing pictures that you will see plus a poem which shows what some of these young people feel...

What did you think of the people who work at the MOD getting a bonus, what the hell for, they have not purchased equipment for the front line, or was it they spent money ( that is your money) buying the wrong equipment.

It is said in today paper that the helicopters that are needed now are being ordered now bur will be in commission in 2017, dear god do we put on hold the war, please tell the enemy to hold fire.

Please can some one tell me, when a person commits a crime we give them money to leave this country, why, they have killed a child yes I know they have served the time, why were they in this country.

We have seen the figures which do not add up as to how many illegal people are in this country. It is drummed into us the war in Afghanistan is to prevent further attacks in this country, does this not make you think?

Just think Christmas is here in 6weeks, who will have the money to spend, I know the bank of England has printed more money, is that coming to us or to the bankers for a Christmas bonus, just a thought.

THE FINAL INSPECTION

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you ?
Have you always turned the other cheek ?
To My Church have you been true?'

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'

Christmas Thoughts

This is a daily work in saving lives for the medics on the front line, they do not stop and say my time is up, oh no just carry on till we get this casualty to base hospital.
Please note the number of casualties that can come in any one week, our job is to support the men and women on return to this country, that is where you come in please get out your wallet or purse and give to that poppy seller.
When you are sitting down to your chrismas dinner, just give a thought to the doctors and nursing staff who will be working all day and night, to save lives.

The Christmas wish

Who will be wishing to be the fairy on the Christmas tree?

Or should I say who will be throwing the rattle out of their cot, just look at what is being said, that this person is the right candidate when you and I know how this country is in tatters with their combination of so called leadership and control of our finances.

I just do not know how they sleep at night, or, is the sleeping potion the thought of all those millions pouring in.

In the elections next year how will we know which one to vote for, who is telling the truth and will we get what has been promised, that being a referendum on that treaty, if I was a betting person and I am not it will not happen, there will be some excuse as to why they can not do it.

Why can't they that are the politicians just tell the truth no that would hurt too much?

Is the unemployment rising, sad to say yes, where is that money that was to secure jobs for young people, answers on a post card.

The Americans may be out of recession but their unemployment is still rising.

Did you know that Britain is in group C, long side Ireland, Iceland and the Mediterranean countries?  We have sunk to bottom from a world leader to third rate.  Do we have any body that can bring this once great country back to the top?

There are lots of people who wish to bring back our troops, why well in the letters they want our boarders closed and the troops to guard this country, but they may be too late, the damage has been done. Remember that when you vote.

My next point is this is the month of November the time of remembrance to those who have been injured and maimed for life and those who gave their lives for this country, so please do not pass that Poppy seller.  Please give as much as you can, remember that money is going to help those disabled service personal and their families.

Just watch the Cenotaph service and all those politicians, espically from the MOD, and cast you mind to the Nimrod inquest, and all the blown up service personal.

When did this Prime Minister stand and salute the dead coming back.

No he and his cabinet are looking at way to cut the defence budget.

The thing that makes me sick is that history is something stuck on a shelf and not looked at, the other day I was reading about the time when we had trained Officers who worked with the local tribes and sorted out problems, that would be more cost effective then going to war, no that history and that is being rewritten, I would say at what cost to this country.

Respect

What is the difference?

I am talking about the young man in the wheel chair and the drunken lout, the young man in the chair has the dignity not to retaliate, his mother and sister had to see first hand what it will be like for him in the years to come.

This man has more guts and determination to get up and walk with his new legs, and that  is the hardest thing any amputee has to do, the pain and agony these men and women have to endure I hope you never have to go through.

The desecration of the War memorial by the young man beggars belief, what is it that they have to go out and get intoxicated out of their minds, you hear that they are so hard up so where do they get the money from.

Perhaps we should not give out money in benefits but vouchers that can not be exchanged for alcohol only for food and housing.

I think next year will see a wake up call to a lot of people when they find that there is no money to go round.

What is your view at the TA will have to pay for training and kit, what an asinine idea.  The person who has said this must be taken out to the war zone and not coddled but go out and face the Taliban,  having said that it might cause us more casualties.

Remember a while back I said about the price hike in utility bills well we have it, I say to elderly people please do not cut down on heating and hot meals.

It is more cost effective to keep you all well and not ill or in hospital.

Would it be possible to have our money back, I see that the bankers are being paid massive bonuses, so why not give us back our money, or are I too simplistic.

Allotments

Allotments

This is like winning the lottery, I have looked for this past 3 years and I still get the same reply from land owners NO, we need our land for other things, like what say I knowing full well what the answer will be.

This morning the good people of Kingsteignton have formed them selves in to an Allotment Society even if they have no allotment.

There were some very good questions to me like why, when, not bad for a Sunday morning.

So watch this space and see how they get on.

That was the good thing, but why oh why do I go and read the Sunday papers, dear god is there nobody in Westminster who is honest and straight with us.

We had in the week Mr Ainsworth saying that he could not send any more troops to Afghanistan as there was not enough equipment for the troops, and I have just read that we may be not be invited to the next G4 meeting, what that says for the state of this country.

The Irish have voted, so what is in store for us as a nation, the loss of 1000 years of our history.

This is a question that you must ask all those nice people who will come knocking on your door and promise the earth, just quiz them hard, and if they walk away with red faces you will know.

The disgraceful way the young soldier was treated when out with his mother;

This young man has lost both legs and his right arm, these loud mouth louts should be made to go to Headly Court and face the brave men and women who have lost limbs and been mentally scared, or be conscripted.

I sat through a lecture where we listened to case histories, about these poor young men and girls who come from broken homes, dear god what did we have in the second world war, husbands away for years wives having to cope on their own, but those children did not abuse wounded  service personal, as they would have had a good hiding, oh I forgot I can't use that word, no we had too much work in allotments and gardens, if we wanted to have food, but it is just there with no regard to how or where it comes from.

What will these brave soles do when there cuts in the utilities in this coming winter?

Sunday and the sun is shining

Sun shine all day

That is until I site down to read the Sunday papers, I think I will ban these on days when the sun is shining, why well the politicians are raising my blood pressure.

Do you get sick and tired of the entire name calling, when will some one own up and say, the money has been spent and you will have to pay a very large increase in your taxes?

We all know that they have spent more then they should have, going on to say they will not cut but increase services.

So that sent me in to the garden to pull up all the weeds and recycle them in the green bin.  Must say it does one good to have time spent like that.

Do you have a problem when you go to the chemist to pick up your prescription, my a time one has to spent waiting, I was asked three time what my name was, nearly got out my Teignbridge badge thinking she could not understand what I was saying.

Having said that a lot of my friends are having the same trouble, to the point when a doctor has prescribed a hundred and twenty tablets to be given only one hundred, she then spoke to her doctor about this.

When you stop and think about that where are the twenty have tablets gone, and if the prescription states 120 and the health service have paid for that, then that raises questions.

I have been told if a patient has died, the tablets that are in the chemist are destroyed and they are in blister packs, I ask the question why.

Please let us go back to hospital being run by trained medical and nursing staff, and train the nurses on the wards, so that when they have to speak and carry out treatment they are not frightened to death.

If we cut out all those people who walk round hospitals carrying clip boards we could save a lot of money.

I remember asking one such person when sitting on a trolley waiting for a x-ray what she was doing and can you guess what the reply was, well no reply but a look of what has crawled out of the wood work.

MUSE

WELL DONE

That is for Teignmouth and Muse.

Muse performed at their home town and what a show, the plaudits are loud and clear.

What a pleasure to hear so many people applaud these young men and I might add to that the young people who were at this show, to show how they can behave and enjoy themselves.

The planning and organisation first class, no big hick-up,it just flowed.

Money generated at this show goes to Charity that in this day and age is something, so thank you.

What a change to be able to write about good things, it gives one hope that soon we can remove the incumbents at a certain address, and move forward.

I had my wish the sun is shining, and my garden beckons for me to go and weed.

I am looking at next year and thinking how to raise money for my charities, it is not easy, as money is still short, and will be for the foreseeable future.
If you have any ideas with in reason I would like to hear from you.

Where has summer gone

Please paint the sky blue

No I am not being political just wondered where summer went, did I sleep in?
Here in Newton Abbot a classic car show last weekend which raised money for Help for Hero's a tidy sum of £3421, especially here with high unemployment.

Well done the people who worked hard to put this show on.

We also have in Teignmouth a group playing called Muse, all local boys who have made good, hope they continue to play for a long time.

So watch this space for next year, and I will you all know early so that you can take you holidays here in Devon.

I have been reading about the extra money we will have to pay the EU, that is to pay for the poor countries that wish to join, how about if we leave and they can take our place, as how can we be seen as being a rich country, when we are up to our eyes in debt.

Gosh our Prime minister has gone to see our troops, how on earth did he find his way, or even know who he was to meet.

Good on the young man who asked why they had to pay tax when the Americans service people did not, and what an answer he was given, and now we, that is in the name of Great Britain, are going to speak to the Taleban, I could ask what is they have that we need, i.e. oil or other goods, well just look what has happen in North Africa, need I say more.

Food for patients in hospital

Yes I have been on the receiving end of hospital food so I do know what it is like, one thing when I was serving, food given to my patients was first class, none of this rubbish, and as for saying that NURSES are to busy to feed patients who are unable to do so, is a total disgrace to the profession of NURSING.

Why do these people who think that being a nurse precludes them from bedside care, and that includes washing feeding and even speaking to a patient.

The trouble is they are not exposed to bed side nursing, I had a nurse come to me to take my observation, and guess what she had no idea of what I had, even less of what not to do, by the time I had finished with her I asked had she just started training oh no she had finished.  That is what is being turned out at great expense to you the tax payer.

I have even seen some one who had a degree in nursing freeze on me when asked to show a student nurse ( yes we did train nurses in the Army) how to lay out a patient who had died, so I had two students to teach that morning.

I can remember when the standard of nursing was first class world wide.

Oh I can hear it you can't say that about all nurses, but you see mud sticks and one apple is bad so all are tarnished.

Note the Price of Oil

Price rises of the Gas, Water and Electricity.

Have you noticed that the price of Oil has risen, and that will mean a hike in what we pay out.

The letters will be coming through the doors, saying that if you pay be direct debit your monthly payment will rise to.

Just think even if it is £3-50 a month and you have never been anything but in credit, you know what is about to happen all round.

People who are just above the benefit line will be hard hit by this, and those who rely on savings will be in dire straits.

Lets look at the Sunday papers, and what do we have, some one has noticed that unless a lot of senior people i.e. the Royals to be present, not one MP will be at the service of the fallen service men and women.

That to me shows what low uncaring lot we have as MP's. Have any of them meet the aircraft bring home the bodies of the fallen, the answer is no.

The depts. to which the MPs who are in the MOD, have sank to, show what despicable people they are, what I am talking about is how they have tried to smear the name of the Head of the British Army.

Take a good look at what Mr Ainsworth has claimed, and then you can say who is worth their salary

Last Sunday I was selling books for HFH, and you have to ask the question, why we and many more like minded souls do it. Because we care and do what ever we can to raise money, which this government has reneged on In respect of care.

They are even bringing into question any compensation that a service personal may have received.

I have just read a letter from an ex Para who served in the Falklands and the misery he and his family have had to endure.

There are hundreds of men and women who suffer from Combat stress disorder. They have to endure the sounds and sights in their brain for the rest of their lives, only help and understanding are going to help in a small way.

The break up of families due to this, heartache and pain, of not understanding what is happening to them.

Think on of the young people coming back from this stupid war, they will be affected in this condition.

INJURIES SUSTAINED IN CONFLICT

The Wounded, and how they treated by Politicians.

This puts me in mind when I took a badly burnt pilot out to tea for the first time, this was part of our treatment of such patients, to give them confidence of meeting people.

ON entering this tea house, oh rather posh it was in East Grinstead not far from the hospital, sitting down and ordered our tea, when some women in a very loud voice said 'it should not be allowed it puts one off ones food', I knew who that remark was made to, so I just turned round and said my god it is awful, and to the women have you looked in the mirror and you will know what I am talking about. Following that remark not another word was said, but I had a job keeping that young man sitting down, as he was all for getting out.

How do you think these young people returning injured and disfigured, just looking in hope that some one will smile and speak with out insult, yes I know these injuries are horrible, and some can not look at them as they fell sick, but stop and think of what they have to go through, some give insults others run away. But just remember they are the same people under those scars.

When these politicians go on these visits, they do not go out side in to the danger zone oh any too precious.

The thing that really gets to me that these people have never been in a conflict area, there are one or two who have served their country and been in conflict, but they are not in the MOD or behind that desk.

Dear me when the words from grieving mother hit home, they run for cover.

All have plenty to say when interviewed, but unable to put into practice, and provide the equipment, lets face it the person who is responsible for this is making millions speaking, good question on what how to run away from conflict, just send in the troops.

There has been written by a Staff Sergeant Andy McFarlane a poem on the return of the special Hero's, where a whole town stands in silence and pay their respects, if not go out and buy the news paper (Daily Mail ), then tell me if you do not weep for them.

When you think that we have no controls of who comes into this country, and the politicians say that we are fighting to save us from the terrorist, do they think we are so stupid to believe that story, no wake up they are all ready he here working in areas with all are details, have they been vetted.

Why have the ones who speak only of destroying this country allowed to stay, and even be paid benefits having never done a days work in their lives.

Stop all this payment out and supply the equipment that is required by the troops.

Also stop all benefits to those who have just arrive and expect had outs and medical care.

Then pay the compensation to the troops, as their right.

Questions that need to be answered

Why do we have to pay a vast amount of our hard earned money to keep these BBC people in double employment?

Well that is how it looks to me as some one whom very rarely tunes into the governments broadcasting station.

In my youth the BBC was held in high regard but now it has lost its way, we have seen the degrading programmes that have been put out, the language that once was held in high regard is now the pits, and how standards have fallen.

It is now the voice box of this government, and that is saying some thing, with all the spin and less than truthful statements put out.

When will we be told how many casualties have been evacuated back to UK, of those service personal how many have lost their jobs in the service.

Why am I asking, well it is the report that the compensation being paid out is being questioned, in other words are they malingering.

Just look at the prison service, how many of the inmates are breed and born here, and why do we have to pay benefits to them and their offspring's?

We have in this country people who would like nothing better then change our whole way of life, yes I do mean what is the faith of this country.

When I have been serving in different countries which have a different faith I have respected their faith, oh no not here.

The French think we are our own worst enemies, be advertising around the world , come to our country and we will give you free medical care even educate your children and don't for get we give you housing benefits, in fact you live free if you know how to use the system.

Yes and we who have worked all our lives are paying for these people who give nothing , but are quite happy to teach young people of different faith to hate and fight against our own troops.

This country is in dire striates as far a money is concerned, in a massive debt which will take decades to pay for, so why not stop this free service to all people who think we are a soft touch.

Oh boy I can just hear the roar of the human rights and liberty groups, if they just listen to what is being said on the streets of this country, they might just get the drift of feeling, even mild mannered people who in the past would not say these thing, so please wake up you so called politicians and just listen that is if you can pull your selves away from sun beds.

Holidays

Jolly hockey sticks, off on holiday for two months

I wish, oh those poor MP's, they need that long break, to recharge the batteries, I don't think, why do they get such long holidays.

If you have the stamina to watch the reports on the debates from Parliament, you just wonder why we have so many MPs, when the chamber has so few people there.

Still I suppose they need to spend all the hard earned money, what do we do, well I for one will be at the lovely place called stopathome, in the garden planting out veg, and thinking how much I can afford to spend on plants, no food seems to be coming down in price, but there again what has come down in price.

This has been an awful week for the service personal and the families, and the poem written by WO1 still haunts me.

Will we ever know the truth of why we are in Afghanistan, if it is about the Taliban in Pakistan, then we should be there helping them, not the other way round, if some knowledgeable person knows please could you tell me.

When will we be told how many casualties have come back since hostilities have started, and how many may never be able to work again?

Reading what this putrid government now has thought up checking up to make sure these service personal are not faking their injuries, to what level will they go to.

Tell me how do they judge a service man or women has Combat Stress Disorder, put them through what test, loud bangs firing mortars or just shouting at them, I would very much like to know.

With this long holiday, when will the equipment that has been promised be delivered to the troops on the ground?

How many casualties have the other forces in Afghanistan, you never see that printed, why?

On to another subject, that of the Girl Guides and Scouting movement having to pay water tax.

Are we sinking so low that soon my cat will be invoiced for drinking the rain water? Well I would not put that pass them.

Service Families

The Knock on the Door

The dread of that knock on their door for all service families, with an Officer in uniform speaking words they can hardly take in.

This is what is happening all the time, and we have politician saying that thy

Have put all the money in excess, I have always understood that when we are on active service, the money and procurement have been assess, as to the conditions that will have to be met.

Yes we know that there will be a percentage of casualties from a conflict, but, the picture that is being sent back belies what is going on.

Why is there not a big push from Pakistan to stop the supply of bomb making materials getting through and their army going forward to meet the other armies in a pincher attack, or am I out of date that is how I would see this operation.

To read the news paper, these families must wonder what equipment they have to work with, when the vehicles have been rejected by the USA forces, why are they good enough for our service men and women!.

Does all this news fill them with dread; they would not be human if it did not.

We hear about the dead, but why is there silence about the number of casualties that have been injured and sent home, and as I have said before why do service personal have to go out and get money so that they can receive care, all the talk of money, this government can bail out the banks, but what do they do for the returning sick and injured both in body and mind. They keep this very quite why?

Is this the time to bring in conscription, just think of all those men who run round knifing and shooting people, I think we might find that there would be a mass exit from this country?

I can just hear it now "I know my human rights" you can not make me,

Just think about it, we would save on benefits, housing, and many more.

All those who shouted abuse at the troops, would they disappear.

I am just an old cynic, who hates to see people who have not put a penny into the system, but are very quick to take out,

I will go in detail on the subject of affordable housing in another time.

Why did I not write up my blog last Sunday well I was in France taking part in the Twinning of Kingsteignton and Orbec. Thirty years

The people of Orbec really looked after us, and what a programme they put on, my feet did not touch the floor, and I'm in need of a holiday to get over it.

One interesting thing was the push of the EU, they had had a grant to build a facility for the community to use plus playing fields for sports and tennis courts, and I come back and look at this concrete jungle of a Town, and think why do we not have this, plus looking at a farm which had been paid for by the EU grants and a works which made baby washing stands for nurseries and hospitals, that also received money.

Their roads are usable not like ours, with very big pot holes and vegetation growing out of the missing road surface.

Yes I know France is bigger then here, why have we not received money like that, or has money been got for other places too make this government look good!

This is Devon but we are missing the space, what little we have will have concrete poured on it , that means housing, but I ask myself who for?

It's the heat, my lord

Just what is it that brings people out to jeer at service personal who are only doing what this government has sent them to do their dirty work.

I think we should have all the people who object to what is happing in countries of which they have fled, go back and work to improve the situation, and not just cause agro here,

Talking about money, will there be any money left to buy equipment for the armed forces or will we be sending the Generals out shopping to Harrods for supplies. There I go again with my cynic hat on, but what do you expect.

Are any of you people who read this Governors of schools, just have a good look at your finances, and those of other authorities near to you, you may just wake up with a start.

There has been a lot of talk about rubbish bins, may I ask what would you put you rubbish into, have you any idea how much it costs to dump into land fill, and how much the government charges for that, well you pay, and if a lorry that is for green waste has contamination with other materials that goes to land fill, costs more money and a lot more methane gas.

You should be on the receiving end when residents are complaining about smells, not very funny.

If one was to mention incineration even if it was as green as it can be you would have petitions by the million, so what is the answer, do not buy more then you need, refuse plastic covers and bags, why do we need food wrapped in plastic, oh of course good old elfan-safty, do people not wash their veg and fruit any more. Answers on a post card.

Off to France to see how they deal with rubbish, hope not all the time, this is a twinning trip, it will be good to see how they deal with EU laws, and I will let you know.

For whom the bell tolls

Why do these politicians think that just giving back the money makes this mess go away, we have seen the duplicity, and the attitude of some, makes one feel like lashing out.

It is unbelievable that one of the big offenders has been given a vote of confidence, what am I missing, one has taken the tax payer for all they can get, if one of us so much as to even try these scams, we would end up in jail,

I have just read that my MP charged for baby wipes, has he regressed to childhood. I have said in a previous blog that all those MPs should stand down, and as for the Labour party having another leader to take them into the next election, how many more do we have to endure to make a total cock-up with the little we have in the bank.

This inquiry into the war in Iraq to be held behind closed doors, smacks of the usual cover up, never mind the families that are still grieving and the injured service personal who have to go on with the injuries sustained.

Why have not the lawyers for the Iraq people not asked for our last Prime Minster and Mr Bush to be tried for war crimes. Will we ever find out, not if we have people who are friends of the above, and also why not ask again what happened to our special scientist who was working by looking for weapons of mass destruction but found none?

On to a much better note

I have seen the women who can play cricket and football even shown on the sports pages of a national paper, oh my it has just occurred to these sports writer's that we can take the Ashes and World titles, unlike some of our men, or am I just being mean to these over paid men and big egos The women are training for all sports that at one time was the male sport only.

Good on these ladies, and lets see more of reporting on these actions.

Oh by the way the people of Kingsteignton have been looking for the last two years for land to have as allotments, and do you think we have succeeded indeed no, one of the big land owners has said he can not sell us any land as he needs it, guess what, they are going to build more housing then we need in this Town, but they will not be affordable oh no, poor souls thinking of their millions to put in the bank, cynical you bet.

Your right to have vote as to who Governs us

Who Governs this Country?

I thought that people of this country voted for men and women to govern and make laws for the good of all.

Am I missing something here, we have had people put into office who have never been elected to the office of cabinet, sorry if this is how this man thinks that we who pay their wages will take no notice of the scrawny group of non elected people to govern us no we the people of this country demand an election to take place, so we have the democratic right to say who governs us.

Rules must be change,

That is being said by one of the big perpetrators of miss use of public money, and guesses what he has put himself to over see this.

Do we ask the felons who have embezzled funds to audit the government books, well I hope not; perhaps they should sort out the EU accounts!

We are being told that our Prime Minster will get us through this mess, but think on who got us there is the first place, no all those MPs were only thinking of their own bank accounts, not the good of this country., that is why they said carry on being our leader.

NHS what will happen when the EU legist ration on working hours comes into force?

The article written by Professor Black pointed out clearly the implication of the break down of service.

Doctors and Nursing staff plus all ancillary staff will not be allowed to work overtime, only set hours laid down by the EU.

Let's face it the Labour members of the gravy train voted for this.

The consequent will be care being curtailed and cold lists even cancelled, due to the surgeons have to work through the night with emergency cases, going over time.

One of the big losers will be junior doctors, in getting tutorials, ward experience, in the allotted time.

Pity that the people who make these laws have no understanding of care and time involved with sick and very ill people.

Just think of the time spent in out-patients by all staff, I can just see the scene of doctor saying sorry but we have gone over our allotted time, you will have to come back another day

Now can you see why I say the need for an election is paramount.

Snub to our Queen

What despicable men, yes I am speaking about our so called Prime Minister and the president of France.

Our Queen Elizabeth has more diplomacy and respect of the people of this country and of the Commonwealth then these men put together.

The men and women who gave their lives to liberate Europe will be turning in their graves, to insult our Queen who served her country, at not being at this dedication to those who lost their lives.

It is not about these men who have never lifted a finger to serve and fight for freedom, no they just take your money and put up your taxes, quite frankly I for one would not trust them, they only think of self.

For other things that have come to light, how can we trust them to put things right, as for the Prime Minster overseeing the new rules, does he really think we are so stupid to trust him or any other person who have had their fingers in the till.

When will we have a say by putting non money grabbing people in to parliament

I have never felt so sick of so called people who were voted in to serve their people, but that has not happened, quite the reverse.

The time will come when the health service come to a grinding halt, that will be due to the Labour support in the EU, when cutting the hours of doctors and all staff who work in the emergency services, Oh don't forget when you vote this week for the EU, just think they do not have to put in receipts for cost in cured oh no just ask, they are raking it in, even worse then those in this parliament.

We so need a change in this country, before it is too late and you see conflict taking place on the streets.

ABUSE OF PRIVILEGE

Why does some one get a rewarded by a massive pension and title, when they have debased the office for which they were appointed.

It was clear from the start that this man was not fit for this high office.

The next person to be appointed to this office must have a clean record in public life and have the education to understand all that is involved.

There are too many people given a peerage, who have just been given a title due to money being given to political parties, this must change to people who have given their time and money to help other through adversity.

All MP's who have been named and shamed should never hold office again, and we the voters must make sure the person on that voting paper is clean and untarnished by greed and sleaze.

Ask yourselves can we the tax payer afford to pay out these large pensions, have these people who are receiving large pensions paid into this fund, that would be very interesting to find out, perhaps some good delving journalist can find out.

Can we expect to see a return of all the money that has been taken, please don't hold your breath, no all are laughing on the way to the bank including this shamed speaker.

The most important thing that needs to be done to put this country back on it feet, is for Parliament to be dissolved and a GENERAL ELECTION TO BE CALLED

Dig for your Health

Dig for Victory, Grow your own Food and be Healthy

Dig for victory was a theme that I grow up with, all gardens had vegetables and fruit trees, but now houses that are built have small or no back gardens.

I am being asked for allotment places, just one small thing no land.

Kingsteignton was a village that had allotments, but the coming of an age of concrete and housing going up regardless, these spaces were built on.

There is a very big problem now people are asking for land to have allotments to grow their own food.

It has been proven that young people respond very well to see things grow and then eat them, gives self satisfaction, to give a sense of wonder and help them experience something greater then themselves, this in turn fosters a greater quality time as a family.

Can I achieve this no, I asked the Clay company Sibelco if it would sell some land to a Land Trust the amount was 4acres three of which was for an allotment and one acre for affordable housing, that answer was a resounding NO, with all the land at their disposal, the main reason is I was asking to place this land in perpetually for the people of Kingsteignton.

This village has grown so much that it is now a Town with 12k people plus the fact the people who refused us land wish to expand us by a further 6oo houses, at present we are a concrete jungle just think what it might look like with all these people who will not be local.

From the government down we are being told we must have sustainable communities, what a load of rot when they are pushing people in just to make other people millionaires.

Broadband

Do you know how much you are paying for your broadband?

I have just received my bill from Virgin only to find out that the price of my broadband has gone up by two pounds, not much some might say, but I have had no letter telling me this was about to happen.

On phoning Virgin I find I am talking to a young man in India, who tells me I am now receiving 10mb,that is news to me, so I check out on the internet the speed of my machine, and what did I find not 10mb but 2.o2mb.

So I checked this out three times and with the same result, so am I feeding fat cats or what, then go to the small print, and this allows them to print money,  does anybody else have this problem, because I would like to know.

I do not like paying for something that is not happening.

Remember this is being rolled out right across the country, I wonder how much money is being made at this rate.

I wonder if some one from Virgin will be reading this and perhaps might enlighten me to this anomaly.

State of the Nation

Dissolve this Parliament

I say why not you have been in charge of this country's finance for the pass ten years, and what have we landed up with, debts for years to come.

When you look at the amount of pay they receive and when they are kicked out the massive pension they will receive.

Why should we pay for repairs to property, when it is the people living there who should pay, they receive enough salary to pay

I find it an insult to the people of this country who have lost their jobs and struggling to make ends meet, and as for paying the food bill, perhaps we should sent our bills to the said MPs.

There is some thing very rotten at the home of democracy, which has shaped not just this country but other nations of the world...

It is time that we the people called for all MPs to be sacked, new rules need to be made.

With all new members only getting a salary to meet office and communication costs all other cost to come from their salary.

Travelling cost, and to bear in mind carbon pollution, well they should, and no jollies to far flung places, remember we have massive debts to repay.

What these people should remember they are no different from the people, who they SERVE, let not that be forgotten.

I can hear it now we are not all on the gravy train, well why have you not done something about it, or about progression up the ranks.

Well just think you have taken our money from pension funds, and you are safe with a big fat pension, but then if we have politicians who do have their fingers in the pot, they just might raid you lovely nest egg. We can all dream.

The mother of Parliaments has been transformed into a personal wealth creation scheme on the moral level of Las Vegas., not just me saying this but a lot of other people.

In Human treatment of babies and children

Why have the Perpetrators of serious crime against children not been named?

Please tell me what is so special with these two people that they can not be named, is it the risk of reprisals in prison, if that is the case, they have committed a grave acts to two children, one is dead but the little girl will have to live with those awful nightmares, not only with the abuse that took place, but the questioning, that will not go away.

what else is going to come out from this authority, are there other children who at this time of writing are at risk, or even worse being raped and at this moment at risk of being killed.

I did say when baby Peters case came to light that more would be revealed, and I hate to be proved right in something like this...

These people who commit these act, should not be given any special care, they have in my book have forfeited any rights, oh I expect there will be people who say, but we must help them, question why! they have shown no mercy to children.

How many other children will come to light, which are suffering dreadful conditions and suffering?  Is this all due to the sixties when there was no thought of what they were producing in the way of children.

Please God if anybody out there is at this time on the point of hurting a baby or a child, please get help.

Marathon and a man with determination

In one of my first blogs I wrote about Major Phil Packer, and his determination to raise money for Headley Court, that is the rehabilitation unit for service personal, who have suffered injuries, like loss of limbs, head and body trauma,

Well just look at him up on his feet and taking part in this race, yes it will be arduous but he is of a breed that has grim determination to succeed, and to do something for others, unlike the people that I have written about above.

Go to it Phil and raise a lot of money.

Deplorable action by this Government in the Treatment of GURKHA's

Hang your head in shame

What a disgusting document I am referring to the Ghurkha's right to stay in this country, let us remove all MPs who have not given military service to this country, unlike these brave decorated servicemen, the medals which are worn with pride, not purchased at John Lewis, but under enemy action have valour and bravery like no other

This is my message to all the so called ministers who are weak kneed and totally with out shame.

The men who have served the King and our present Queen, gave their lives long side British troops, they are the Ghurkha's.
I have had the great honour to serve with 22 Ghurkha engineers and the Army Air Corp in Malaysia, whilst working at the BMH.
They did not shirk from any difficult assignments; I for one would have gone on any assignment knowing I had a first class soldier with me.

How many of all these people who are coming in to this country, have they given life and time to serve the British people, I think not, The statement read out by some MP for the MOD made me sick, perhaps we the British people should export all those money grabbing MPs and their spin doctors to Afghanistan with the poor equipment, and bring home all the military units.

To my next one, that is Alice in wonderland, must say I do have to pinch myself and say 'which planet am I on' did not my parents say to me 'be never a lender or borrower' did your parents say that to you, I could not be the only one on this planet that has been told that.
Gosh I do not know what I will do being given and extra £2.50 in my next pension, mind you they may change their minds, the cabinet may need some new clothes, and don't forget the poor souls need all the money they can get, to buy up all those empty homes where the poor souls could not keep up with the Mortgage.

Industry is on it knees, but never mind the Prime Minster is going to get all the young people doing Community work, just what will that do for the economy, what about all those skilled people out of work, to hear that statement, that must be a kick in the guts.
When will somebody please stand up and say enough is enough.
No more gravy trains no fiddling, no jobs for the boy's, and no index linked pensions, in other words Do unto other as you would be done by.
Who do we vote for, and ,please god be soon, on the door step when the whiter then white (I am not referring to the skin colour) comes knocking at your door, what will you ask them, and if it is the one that has been in for the past five years I for one will give them a verbal kick in the backside.

The gravy train

MEPs to get pay rise

Disgusted is a polite word to what I am thinking.

It has been reported that the new MEPs will get a 20% pay rise, so members who are elected to this gravy train will be £13k better off.

The new rules for these plutocrats will see those getting 7, ooo Euros a month exchange rate will mean they take home £76,360 a year, just think of all the perks they will pick up, and at the end of office a massive pension.

My MOD pension has had a massive rise of £2.50 a week, my old age tags behind that, just think the tax man will come down on me like a ton of bricks.

I do not have an accountant who knows the way to play this game.

How do we trust any body in politics to tell the truth or even work for us, no those days are gone, integrity, honesty they would not know if it hit them in the face?

Think how we were told about Iraq, then we find out no written papers, but never mind out troops can get killed, so others can swan around the world and tell others how to run their countries, sick making.

We now are being told about vile smears which have been sent by emails, this goes to show what a deplorable state this so called government has right from the start brought this country to its knees.

When will this country regain its creditability and trust of its people, to believe that we have statesmen who can deliver what is promised.

That ladies and gentlemen is the million dollar question

Why not charge?

Why do we not charge?

The cost to the NHS is rising with the incidences of drunks and fighting following excessive drinking.

A&E are stretched in coping with these people, when they have been treated are they polite no way, the language is appalling and abusive.

People, who can not control the amount they drink, should have to pay, as all the advertising and government warnings have fallen on deaf ears.

It is not just picking them up from the ground, but the massive cost to save their liver and the destruction of the whole body.  What they do is their own affair some would say, I for one would point out there are other patients who are more disserving then them.

Just what is happening to young people, the disturbing injuries that have been sustained by two boys' and the effects that will haunt them does not bear thinking about.

Yes I am back on my questions for the so called caring services, in that they had taken into care two very disturbed young people, it has been reported that they have been seen walking around in bare feet and in an unkempt condition.

The injuries that were sustained could have been fatal, thank goodness the other young boy was able to get away and the kind people who took him in,

How quickly did the police arrive and the social services act.

I expect there will be the wring of hands, and of course I was not aware of the situation is poured out.

The family situation will be the cause stated, this is my comment from the baby P case, if you have children you should be prepared to take care of them, or are we looking at another social problem as the above comment.

The future care of these two young people who are on the way to a harden way of life, must be shown there is another way, how did the boys who were responsible for James Bulger death turn out.

No one has been told, but they have after years in custodial care, change of name plus a new life, will we ever know the results of this treatments they have received.

To all the girls who think it is the right thing to brag about with I have scored, and then wonder why they are pregnant, all these people should look at what happens when little ones come in to this world, and then discarded and abused, the trauma that is caused by this lack of personal responsibility is appalling, most of this is caused by drink and drugs consumed, when trying to look cool.

We need a change in the way we conduct our lives, if we have any chance of caring for the young, from the first breath to starting work care needs to be first priority.

The Sun is shining so be happy

The Sun is shining so be happy.

Well it might be shining but I do not look forward to this big meeting in London, with the protester's out in force, there was a march that went off well, no big problems but when the Americans hit town we could see a different picture in the news papers.

The cost of this show is going to put the taxes up, just hope we in the South West don't have to pay.

I am far from happy when all these MP's are lining their pockets with out taxes,  why can't they travel by train or bus, they all talk about climate change, and we should all use public transport, so they have chauffeur driven cars, still jobs for the boy's.

Reading in to day's papers some person had a suggestion that a hotel should be built near to the Parliament that would save paying out all that money for second homes and furniture that would pay for its self.

My main worry is that this two tire system of benefits is unfair to people who have lost their jobs to that of people coming into this country and getting all the benefits.

We should be like the Australian government who have said, when you come to this country you speak ENGLISH and obey our Laws, and we are a Christen faith, you may practice you faith but do not abuse ours.

How can you expect children to stop having sex, when the home life is in turmoil, with different father's or encouraged to drink like the parents?

This comes down to self respect, we will have a grave danger in the DNA of all babies born, who will not know in later life when they meet somebody if they are related, that in turn will lead to deformities of babies, but also any genes that carry cancer, diabetes and many more, will be devastating for that person.

Let children be children and not push then to be grown up's

Prime Minster stops meddling with the monarchy, if he concentrated on his own job we might just be able to hold on to the little money we have, and that is not saying much.  When will we be rid of this government,.
