Heroes

How would you like to help this young man achieve this amount of money, Phil is determined to take part in the London marathon, and as you will see he suffered a bomb blast injury, this has left him a paraplegic.
These young men and women are not just sitting back and crying in their beer, far from it, TV has shown Royal Marines with legs and arms blown off, also training for this event.
I wonder how many of us can even do the mile let alone 26 miles.
The money they raise will go to the rehabilitation centre at Headly Court, where all this major work takes plase under well trained staff, but this all takes money, Oh you will say the Government should support, the small amount that has been put in does not cover the costs.
I would like to know your views, can you contribute to his fund.

About Phil . . .Phil Packer

On the 19th February 2008, Major Phil Packer was injured following a rocket attack in Basra. Phil has been treated at the Spinal Ward in the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore where his surgery, rehabilitation and medical support has taken place since the 2nd March. Sadly, as a result of the accident Phil has lost the use of his legs and is now a paraplegic with what are classed as catastrophic injuries.

With the help and kindness of fellow colleagues, friends and the generosity and goodwill of others! Phil plans to raise £1 million for the Help for Heroes charity in support of wounded colleagues.
