Sale of Exeter Airport

Did you read the Mid Devon and the Herald Express? Were you confused at the amount of money portrayed for Kingsteignton? Well, you are not the only one!

The total money left from the sale of the Airport left £48m - that was after paying off the debt. The Devon County Councillors community fund has been increased by £25K to the amount they all ready have.

I think you should ask your County Councillor what has he or she spent in your area. Towns and Villages go to great lengths to raise money for the local projects, have you been lucky to have had money given to you, if so, I would be delighted to know.

To all you Library lovers a £5m has been put into a pot along side the Community fund.

To the Green people there is £5m for you.

To schools £5m, now I will be paying a close eye on that one, being a Governor.

And now to the big one, and that is £26.5m for major projects, and that ladies and gentlemen, we get to the headlines. I was told a long time ago never believe what you read in newspapers, just take it with a pinch of salt and do your own research.

So Kingsteignton we have to come up with £10m, will Sport England come up with the goods? Remember they will have to pay out for the 2012 event, so we will just wait and see.

PS - It might have been polite if Teignbridge or County had let the Parish Council know.
